I’ve always been into working out, but over the past few years have grown kind of bored with my usual workouts. I despise super fitness models acting as trainers in a cult like atmosphere. The Ergatta keeps me focused and entertained, and I can coach myself to my own music in my own home and not worry about somebody screaming ridiculous motivational platitudes at me while I try to focus on training
The workouts are addictive. Works so many parts of my body. No soreness the next day. Easy on my joints. Tech is up to date. Has relevant music options and scenery.
The rower is very well made and good looking. As a beginner rower - I am really enjoying the Push programs and the encouraging emails!
I owned a Waterrower for 20 years and finally upgraded to a new Ergatta. It was totally worth it and has reinvigorated my workouts. It's the same high quality rower and the gamification aspect makes it a blast to use almost daily. My strength training has benefitted from the full-body cardio of the Ergatta too. Highly recommend!
My wife had foot surgery and couldn’t use her VersaClimber for 8 weeks, so she needed an alternative. I had a heart attack six months ago and wanted something fun yet challenging to build my health back. I had rowed the Concept 2 when I was in CrossFit and knew a rower would be a good choice for both of us. I shopped Concept 2, Hydrow, WaterRower and a few others and decided on the Ergatta because of the interactive games. I watched the demonstration for Meteor, Echo, Pulse and the racing competitions which sold me on the Ergatta. Ever since it arrived I look forward to working out everyday. The programming is very logical and allows you to set the type of workout and length and the Classic Rock music selections are very good. The sound quality sucks, but who cares since it’s about the workout. I do the Meteor most of the time because it’s fun and the Meteor speeds up the stronger I row. That’s a bit different than the Echo which is more for stroke rate training. I’ve Donne a few of the races and let the machine pick my competition and that’s been fun although my competitive nature makes me overwork to blow away the other rowers which is dangerous for me. I like the way it saves my progress and stats and I pair it with my Apple Watch then use my Polar HR with my iPhone to record my effort.
Now the second part of the review: The machine is very well built and smooth. I like the fact I don’t have to decide how much resistance like the Concept 2. I just want to row and know I’d set it at 10 if I had the choice. Then I’d get bored with the machine feeling I always had to row at 10. My wife likes the sound of the water rushing and I agree it is soothing. So glad we decided on the Ergatta.
We’ve had our lite for a little over a month now. Loving it. For the last couple of years I’ve been working out on a bike indoor trainer and recently I’ve been using our Ergatta more, since I feel like I’m getting a more complete workout. Not only are my legs involved, but my upper body gets activated.
I’m having a blast breaking in my new Ergatta Lite. The workout options are so dynamic, and the push programs are designed to get you reaching for goals —taking away the need to create your own goals, especially helpful for those new to rowing. I’m excited to use Ergatta, and am very happy with my decision to join the team
I’ve waited for years to get the Ergatta Lite rower and I kick myself for waiting! It’s an exceptional piece of equipment targeting multiple muscle groups each workout. I look forward to my morning rows and am loving the results.
I’ve had my Ergatta lite for about 6 weeks now. I rowed in high school so I started with some knowledge of the basics. This has been an AMAZING exercise for me. Convenient, easy to use, and super motivating. The push programs have been a great way for me to incrementally improve. The weekly rows and live races activate my competitive nature which drives me to work harder. I’ve always struggled to “just workout” but when there are competitions, games, and goals.. it’s so different. I would recommend this to ANYONE. Rowing is easy on the joints and a great strength and cardio workout. Come be my new rival!
I love how I look forward to my workouts. It’s fun and brings physical results. I’m losing weight and getting stronger.
The app content motivates me to workout more often and with better quality.
I love this machine. I actually look forward to workouts now. The interface is nice and I love the diverse programs and ease of use. Quality build and sturdy. I got the Lite and was a little worried about sturdiness but it’s solid.
I've had my water rower for about 4 years and used it regularly with YouTube rowing videos, or sometimes I would make up my own workout. While it was good cardio, it wasn't really fun. I bought the Ergatta kit and upgraded my water rower and my rowing workouts have drastically changed for the better. I'm burning SO many more calories with each workout than I used to, and the workout is so enjoyable and engaging that I forget I'm doing a workout (seriously, it's incredibly engaging). I lose track of time because I'm so focused on hitting my goals and "playing the game". I also end up pushing myself far harder than I ever did rowing without Ergatta. Like others here have said, I wish I had done it sooner!
The ergatta is engaging, beautiful, and fun. I’d been evaluating a few different home work out options that included gamified workouts to try to find something that fit our family’s general approach towards our exercise: it should be a rewarding activity in and of itself. The ergatta does this. The programs are fun and engaging, the competition aspect motivates to push and challenge ourselves a bit more, and the scenic rows are relaxing. My teenagers also enjoy it, and I like that we can race against each others best times.
The structured push programs are amazing- I love the variety within them, and how easy it is to find something to fit the window of time and/or energy I have available.
I am incredibly happy with my purchase and would be remiss if I didn’t mention how it’s even more stunning in real life. I highly recommend the Ergatta to anyone looking for a connected/gamified home workout experience.
It is elegant, fun and gives a great workout. The support is responsive and friendly. I wish I had done this years ago.
I love it. I like the competition and the sound of the water when rowing make it an unbeatable combination. Plus the look of the machine just makes it all that much better.
I’ve never rowed before. I have found the workouts fun to do, as well as addicting.
I absolutely love my Ergatta! It is engaging, fun, and challenging.
Style meets functionality. It looks as beautiful as it rows. Outstanding
I’ve only had my Ergatta for 1 month and I’m obsessed. Having never rowed before I started with the starter series push program and have worked my way to rowing 10k a day using a combination of push programs and open rows. This rower is perfect for my competitive nature. I’m already at 240k meters and pushing to hit 1 million meters this year. I’m thankful for a fun workout everyday that keeps me coming back for more.
Loved my WaterRower... then SHE got me the Ergatta. WOW, Just WOW. Now I wake up early and run to my gym (spare bedroom) to get on this thing. It's so much fun, I put a cot right beside it so I can sleep closer to it. That way I don't have far to go in the morning. Don't think, just get one cause you don't know what you don't know and if you don't know how much fun you're not having, then you need to find out.
As a gamer, I'm competitive. Especially against myself. It keep me engaged and coming back for more
It’s a gamified workout with someone yelling at me or just watching a distance or clock tick away. Mini goals and focusing the mind to achieve goals is perfect combination
The workouts are very motivating and much more engaging than instructor-led
