Challenge yourself to navigate through space at target speeds calibrated specifically to your fitness level. As one of Ergatta’s most popular games, Meteor tasks you with collecting tokens across different intervals to achieve high scores and compete against the community.
THE SETUP
At the start of each workout, you can view the highest score ever recorded for that session, as well as your own personal best. You will also see a full breakdown of the workout intervals (excluding surprise bonus rounds) so you can plan your effort.
COLLECTING TOKENS
You control your Meteor avatar based on the intensity of your stroke. The screen is divided into four horizontal sections reflective of your individual Intensity Zones (Paddle, Steady, Race, and Sprint).
-
Movement: Rowing harder moves your Meteor up; slowing down moves it down.
-
Collection: Tokens fly in from the right side of the screen. To collect them, you must keep your Meteor within the highlighted zone as they pass.
-
Strategy: Tokens at higher intensities yield higher point values. You can track your real-time score and workout progress at the top of the screen.

METEOR POINT SYSTEM
Points are determined by a multiplier tied to your Intensity Zones. The harder the zone, the higher the reward:
-
Paddle: 1x multiplier
-
Steady: 2x multiplier
-
Race: 3x multiplier
-
Sprint: 4x multiplier

BONUS ROUNDS
Some Meteor workouts feature surprise bonus rounds. During these segments, you can collect additional tokens at a higher point value. These tokens typically appear one Intensity Zone above your current target. For example, if you are rowing in a Steady interval, bonus tokens may appear in the Race zone. While our workout overviews don't explicitly list these rounds, keep an eye out for the surprise opportunity to boost your score.
FLEX TIME: FINISHING THE INTERVAL
If you are rowing at the lower end of a zone or hovering between zones, you might not see all of your tokens before the interval timer runs out. To ensure you have a fair shot at every point, we have implemented Flex Time. If you reach the end of an interval before seeing all allotted tokens, we will extend the interval until:
1. All tokens for that interval have appeared.
2. Five seconds have passed since the original interval time expired (whichever comes first).
