After verifying some information, they will conduct a soft credit check and present you with their offer for your payment plan. If you are not happy with the offer, you do not need to complete the purchase and can simply close out your screen. The order will not be confirmed until you approve the payment plan you are presented with. Checking eligibility will not impact credit. If you decide to pay with installments through Affirm, your payments may be reported to credit bureaus.

Within 24-48 hours of placing your order, you will receive an email from Klarna or Affirm outlining your payment schedule and your purchase will be added to your account balance. If you already have a credit account the order amount of any purchases you make with the Financing option will be added to your total balance, provided the new purchase does not take you over your available credit limit with either partner.

1. If you have placed a freeze on your credit, Affirm/Klarna will be unable to offer you a financing plan. You will need to unfreeze your credit with the relevant credit bureau. If you attempted checkout and forgot to unfreeze your credit beforehand, unlock your credit and they will update your eligible status in 5-10 business days.
2. Even with excellent credit, Affirm may not offer you 0% APR. For details, please contact their customer service team. However, please note that they may not be able to provide you with any additional insight beyond “your credit eligibility is determined by the automated system.”
