WORKOUT TIPS

RATIO: No matter what the stroke rate is, your recovery (returning to the screen) should take twice as long as your drive (pulling the handle back).

SPEEDING UP: Increase your stroke rate by adding press with the legs, rather than rushing back towards the screen. For abrupt increases, a few 3-quarter or half-slide strokes will help you get up to speed fast.

SLOWING DOWN: Slow your stroke rate while staying in rhythm by staying patient when you are fully extended with handle to chest at the finish of the stroke. It is hard to pause and wait for the next block at the catch position, when you are closest to the screen like a loaded spring!
