Hybrid targets can definitely take some practice! These workouts are challenging by design, but with time and practice you’ll likely find that they get a bit easier. We typically recommend locking into the stroke rate target first. Do this by matching your rhythm to the white bar that goes up and down. You can think of it like a metronome for your stroke. Pull on the handle as the bar moves down (the drive), and relax into the finish of your stroke as it moves back up (the recovery). Once you've hit the target rhythm, adjustments in speed come from your legs depending on how hard or soft you’re pushing off the footboard.
We also recommend trying out our Push Program called ’Mastering the Hybrid Workout’, which is specifically designed to help you get comfortable with hitting dual targets.
