A FITNESS COMMUNITY WITHOUT COMPARISON

A FITNESS COMMUNITY WITHOUT COMPARISON

Too often, fitness platforms make community feel like a contest. Rankings and real-time comparisons dominate the experience. For some that’s motivating, but for others it creates pressure, intimidation, or burnout.

At Ergatta, we believe community should feel like being a part of a team. That’s why we’ve designed ours around encouragement, shared progress, and collective achievement, so every rower feels motivated and supported, no matter their starting point.

A Supportive, Team-Oriented Approach

The Ergatta experience is built around the idea that we row better together. Whether you’re celebrating a personal Milestone or joining a community-wide challenge, you’re part of something larger—rowing alongside others who share your goals.

This emphasis on connection helps members stay motivated in a way that feels positive and sustainable. Instead of chasing Rankings, you’re encouraged to celebrate progress, show up consistently, and take pride in every meter rowed.

How Ergatta Builds Connection

Rivals

Choose friends or Rivals to track, encourage, and even to have a friendly competition. Whether you introduce a friend or family member to the platform, or meet a fellow member in the community along the way, adding Rivals is a simple way to add accountability and connection to your personal journey.

Team Challenges

Work together with other Ergatta members to achieve collective Milestones in our popular team challenge series, Member Madness.  Held three times yearly with rotating themes to keep challenges fresh and exciting, members make new connections and motivate one another to go above and beyond. Earn Badges, share progress, and feel the camaraderie of rowing toward a common goal.

"I’m participating in the Journey to Mount Olympus - and it is so fun!! My team members are committed to, fun, friendly, helpful and they have a great sense of humor. This is my first experience exercising outside of a gym but with an online community and I like it even more than I expected I would. My mental attitude and energy levels have improved right along with my physical health."

Rowing for a Cause

With our Monthly Challenges, our commitment to community extends even further beyond our members, and community participation contributes to charitable donations. Benefitting a different nonprofit recipient each month, our challenge participants directly support organizations doing meaningful work around the world. Every meter rowed becomes part of something bigger, creating impact that reaches far beyond the rower.

Member Stories & Support

Across community spaces and social platforms, like Facebook, Reddit, and Tiktok, Ergatta rowers share their journeys, cheer each other on, and celebrate accomplishments together. Read reviews from members.

"The Ergatta Community in the Facebook group is fantastic for support, information on technique and form, and fun events. I am inspired by the Ergatta community. It's just nice to see what others are up to, to keep it interesting."

- Atko R, Member since April 2025
