To keep your rower in prime condition, we recommend the following maintenance:
Daily/Weekly
After daily use, wipe down your rower to clean off any sweat or dust. You may use a cloth or vacuum cleaner to remove any dust build up, especially on the surface of the rails. Be careful not to use methylated spirits, chlorates, bleach, or ammonia based fluids, as these will damage the machine.
Every 6 Months
Tank: Place a purification tablet into the water basin to keep it clean and clear. These tablets are always free of charge, and you can request more at any time by filling out this form.
Frame: Check the bolts on your rower to make sure that they’re tight (but not over-tightened). Use a 5mm Allen key to gently tighten the bolts.
Wood: Using the Danish oil provided with your Ergatta, apply a very thin coat across the wood with a lint-free cloth at room temperature. Allow the Danish oil to penetrate the wood for a minimum of 5 minutes, then rub briskly until the surface is completely dry. Allow the wood to cure for a minimum of 8 hours. If you require more Danish oil, it can be purchased here.
Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions, and include your rower’s serial number as well as your shipping address.
