The new year is upon us, which means it's time to confront that dirty word: resolutions. Do you love the chance to start fresh? Or does the new year carry baggage of years past?
For those of you who struggle with resolutions, especially fitness-related ones, we get it. Starting a routine is one challenge, and sticking with it is another.
If you're considering a fitness resolution in 2025, read below for our tips on setting yourself up for success.
TECH TIP PLAYLIST
Everyone can use a refresher on form. Above, check out the first video on our Tech Tip playlist, a series of 16 videos that guide you on various rowing techniques and stretches.
Determine the number of days per week you'd like to exercise, then take a look at your weekly schedule. Are mornings better than evenings? Afternoons ideal? Pencil the workout into your calendar. Then, set up a weekly goal on your rower's touchscreen. We'll track your progress and send weekly reminders to help keep you on track.
Pay attention to your what your body needs. If you live in an area with seasonal climate swings, keep tabs on how your body responds to these changes. Love a workout you just completed? Click the heart icon in the top right-hand corner of the workout card to save that card to "Your Library". Then, simply tap into Your Library on your rower's home screen to access the workout again and again.
PLAN ROWS ON THE GO WITH THE ERGATTA MOBILE APP
With the Ergatta mobile app, you can explore workouts and favorite them to Your Library, even when you’re on the go. Just head into the workout library, use the filters to find workouts that match your preferences, then heart them for later.

After being an avid runner for many many years, I started to experience hip issues. Being in my 50's doesn't help.
