We’re thrilled to announce the latest addition to the Ergatta platform: premium, instructor-led studio classes, powered by CityRow. Now, with the guidance of instructor-led workouts, the thrill of game-based competition, and the serenity of scenic rows, Ergatta offers a comprehensive fitness suite designed to engage every preference and every mood. A fun, effective, and lasting workout routine is knocking at your door. DESIGNED WITH YOU IN MIND

Our instructor-led classes are here to take your Ergatta experience to the next level. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, we have classes that are perfectly suited to meet you where you are and push you to reach new heights.
 



   

Our classes range from low to high difficulty, and the most difficult classes contain "Advanced" in the title. Most other classes are suitable for all fitness levels, especially those with "Beginner" in the title. In addition, our classes currently come in two main modalities: On/off rower and Rower only. 

On/off rower

These classes include a combination of on-rower and off-rower instruction. They tend to have a HIIT focus, presenting fast, intense working intervals accompanied by long rest periods. The off-rower component of these classes includes guided strength, mobility, and/or core exercises. In the class library, these are titled Cardio + Core (rowing + core) and Hybrid HIIT (rowing + strength/mobility).

Rower only

These classes are exclusively on the rower and they focus primarily on endurance training. The workouts feature long, sustained working periods with minimal rest time. In the class library, these classes are titled Just Row. 

Both of these modalities are great compliments to any fitness routine. And thanks to CityRow's team of expert instructors, our classes have a very different feel than our game-based workouts, bringing a novel degree of variety to the Ergatta experience.

Our classes are powered by CityRow’s fleet of expert instructors, who bring energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement to every moment of every class. While each coach has their own unique style, every class is poised to give you a great workout, all while spotlighting form, technique, and injury prevention. Try a class with each instructor to find out who motivates you most.

EXPLORE THE SYLLABUS

With dozens of classes available now and new releases each week, there's always more to explore. Here's a sneak peak at just a few of these highly anticipated classes. 
In this beginner-friendly class, Bakari guides you through a 32-minute, full-body workout, with high-intensity rowing intervals, bodyweight strength exercises, and mobility work.
 
Join Shea for 30 minutes of rowing intervals combined with a core workout on the mat for a full-body workout.
 
In this shorter "express" class, Beth takes you through 22 minutes of guided, HIIT training on the rower, followed by an optional mobility session on the mat.
  
 

FINDING YOUR STRIDE WITH CLASSES

There are plenty of ways to enjoy our new classes, no matter your experience level and workout preferences. Here are some suggested approaches.
 

BRAND NEW TO ROWING?

  1. Complete a calibration exercise. You can learn more about Ergatta's unique calibration system here: Understanding Calibration + Classification.
  2. Start a Coach AI session for real-time form analysis and feedback.
  3. Begin the Starter Series, a Push Program for new rowers designed to familiarize you with Ergatta’s game-based workouts and with rowing, generally.
  4. Try an instructor-led class marked Low difficulty, like the 19 Min Just Row Express (Beginner) with Annie.
     

CONFIDENT ROWER, SEEKING STRENGTH TRAINING?

  1. Set a goal to keep yourself accountable. You can learn more about goal setting with Ergatta here: Weekly Goals and Streaks.
  2. Try a hybrid On/off rower class, like the 31 Min Hybrid HIIT with Bakari, which mixes guided rowing intervals with guided bodyweight exercises.
     

NOT INTERESTED IN CLASSES?

  1. Don’t sweat it! Ergatta has 11+ workout categories; check out the Experience page to explore all the ways to workout with Ergatta.
  2. Even if you’re not interested in instructor-led rowing and strength classes, chances are someone in your life is! 
  3. Create a profile for them and encourage them to complete a Coach AI session for form feedback.
  4. Then, set them up with an instructor-led class. The 30 Min Cardio + Core with Shea is a great place to start!
